Searching in the library's database, is going to look different from searching in Google.
You might ask Google,"Where do LGBTQ kids go when they’re kicked out of the house?" But in a library database, you'll focus on just the most important words, like "LGBT" and "kids." You can also turn a phrase, like "kicked out of the house" into a keyword, like "homeless."
You might also have to play with those important words a little bit until you finds words that bring in the most useful sources. So if "homeless LGBT kids" doesn't work, try "homeless LGBT youth" or "gay adolescents, homeless." Your first few tries might not yield as many results as you'd hoped, but there are a lot of ways to break this question down into keywords, so don't get frustrated!
In class, we showed you two databases: CQ Researcher and Points of View Reference Center.
