What is Open Science?

Join NASA’s Transform to Open Science (TOPS) mission on April 13, 2023 at 1PM ET for a special community forum featuring two of NASA’s 2022 Space Apps challenge winning teams who developed winning ideas using open data and tools from NASA and partner space agencies. This forum will showcase MIMBI and the Open Metric team's projects and experiences. Lisa Cuevas Shaw (Center for Open Science) will serve as our special guest moderator and lead a short Q&A portion at the end. Please register and ask questions beforehand! Interested in learning more about the winning teams: What is MIMBI ("spark" in Guarani)? How can you measure the impact of science on society

The goal throughout the Year of Open Science, and beyond, is to hold space for the scientific community to come together for intentional discussions around broadening participation and developing an equal level playing field to prioritize NASA’s Open Source Science Initiative priorities. TOPS hopes you will join them and the TOPS community as they work to build sustained relationships with traditionally excluded groups within the scientific community.
