International Women & Girls in Science Day Guide: Resources for STEM

The STEM Summer Institute at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi offers summer programs for middle school and high school students.

Girls Who Code aim to close the gender gap in technology by helping teach girls learn what is needed for computer science. Two free summer programs available in the summer under their "Programs" tab.

Provide resources for young people who want to learn more about STEM. Includes a page of resources specifically for people who cannot attend their in person events.

Outreach effort to encourage educators to engage girls in STEM. They provide resources to partner organizations and have a page on Role Models of Women in STEM fields.

Provides information on research opportunities on campus labs, internship programs, and where to find research interests for faculty members.

Program dedicated to increasing the number of underrepresented students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.
Application will open on April 1, 2023, and close on May 1, 2023 to apply for the Fall 2023 semester

Is dedicated to increasing the number of undergraduate students that are low-income and first-generation college students or are underrepresented in graduate education.

Internships can be viewed on Handshake and will vary based on what is available.

WISE aims to serve and represent women in all areas of science and engineering at Texas A&M University to involve women in the fields of science, engineering, and technology.

The Texas A&M System Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (TAMUS LSAMP) is a partnership consisting of Texas A&M University, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, and Prairie View A&M University committed to increasing the number of underrepresented students participating in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) is a National Science Foundation (NSF) funded program designed to foster achievement in minority students seeking degrees in STEM.

The TAMU-CC LSAMP Undergraduate Research Program allows STEM undergraduate students the opportunity to conduct diverse, cutting-edge research with active and supportive faculty research mentors, all while engaging in research-related activities and earning stipends.
