Database Citation Generators

Built-in citation generators can typically be found in Quick Search or other library databases somewhere near the source's listed information, or occasionally in the extended display screen. It's usually a recognizable symbol, like a quotation mark, or may say Cite. Here's what the citation generator button looks like in Quick Search:

Click on the Cite button to access a menu of commonly used citation formats. In this example, we've chosen APA 7th edition.

The Cite button pop up screen will display a suggested citation for the source. PLEASE PROOFREAD before using this citation - there can be mistakes and you never want to use the citation as is. The easiest way is to copy and paste the citation into your paper and apply correct formatting and proofreading.
