Library Updates

Please Pardon our Progress!

We’re making some changes this summer. We’re switching to another library system that keeps all our resources together and helps us better analyze our collections.

What does this mean for you?

  • As we switch from one system to another: Access to your library accounts will be off-line for a week or two (6/26-7/2). The availability of items listed in our catalog might be incorrect as well (until about 7/12). Don’t worry, if you want to renew a book or check on the status of your account, our Circulation Staff are happy to help 361-825-2340
  • Finding Journals will look a bit different and if you use Course Reserves, these will get an upgrade as well. If you have questions about Course Reserves, please contact Amie Cuvelier
  • Portal, the library’s catalog will be integrated into our new system, so if you were accustomed to using Find Books, you can now jump into our catalog from the main search menu.
  • If you link directly to items in our catalog (books and other items) you will need to update these links in July. (We’ll be working on updating all our links too!) If you find anything that looks like it’s broken, please let the folks in Resource Management & Discovery know. 361-825-2356

We’re happy to help with any questions you have! Let us know what you think.
