Unfortunately, at this time there is no direct method to integrate a Google Scholar profile with an ORCID. However, it is possible to export citations from Google Scholar and import them into an ORCID profile. This is great if you have curated an accurate and complete Google Scholar profile.

Additionally, having an ORCID is helpful in keeping a Google Scholar profile accurate and up to date. The ORCID Registry is open to all, including Google's crawlers. While we don't know how Google Scholar indexes content, it is certain that the information they crawl includes the ORCID Registry.

If you have a Google Scholar Citations profile, you can export a list of publications from your profile to a BibTeX file.

ORCID does not maintain or provide support for Google Scholar. If you have questions about creating, accessing or managing your Google Scholar profile, see Google Scholar Citations help documents.

Importing publications from Google Scholar to ORCID:

Follow the instructions in the link below to export your records (in BibTeX format) from Google Scholar into ORCID:

https://support.orcid.org/hc/en-us/articles/360006894794-Importing-works-from-a-BibTeX-file  >> look under Exporting BibTeX Files from Google  Scholar.

  Login to your ORCID record

Under Works section, click +Add works and then Import BibTeX.

If you have a ResearcherID or Publons account in the Web of Science, you can associate it with your ORCID. This allows for seamless data exchange between the two systems.

Learn more about how to link these two systems together through these ORCID or Clarivate Analytics help guides:
