Library Resources for Faculty

This Guide contains information regarding library resources and services for faculty at TAMUCC.

I-Know Digital Information Literacy Program

The I-Know Digital Information Literacy Program is tied to TAMU-CC's accreditation process. Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). To seek continued accreditation, member institutions must submit a Quality Enhancement Plan. TAMU-CC proposed the I-Know Digital Information Literacy Program (I-Know) for Quality Enhancement Plan, which was approved by SACSCOC in 2020.

I-Know is a campus-wide initiative that aims to strengthen students' ability to effectively find, evaluate, create, and communicate information using digital technologies. To achieve this, the plan integrates digital information literacy learning objectives into course curriculum at successive stages of an undergraduate student's academic program at TAMU-CC. For more information, please see I-Know's website.

Student Learning Objectives

Each level of the I-Know program integrates student learning objectives for digital information literacy into the curriculum of select I-Know courses. The I-Know team and Library faculty partner with departments to host faculty development workshops, assist with adapting lessons, and offer instruction sessions on the the student learning objectives.
