The Office of Academic Testing at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi serves the student population and the Coastal Bend community with their testing needs. The office is charged with ensuring that undergraduate students meet the requirements set forth by the Texas Success Initiative.
Beginning September 1, 2018, Pearson became the testing vendor for the Texas educator certification program. They administer the following tests: TExES, TExMaT, TASC, and TASC-ASL.
Each manual features a list of the domains and competencies that will be tested, strategies for answering multiple-choice questions, and sample test questions and an answer key with rationales.
Create a LearningExpress account to access test preperation materials. Once logging in, simply type TExES into the LearningExpress search box. TExES (Texas Examinations of Educator Standards) exams must be taken in order to be certified to teach in Texas. You can find practice tests that offer prep questions you can expect to see on the TExES Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities EC-12 test.
