I am Looking for a Specific Journal

What is the quickest way to find and/or browse a journal?

Search the Journals By Title list for the journal title. If we have the journal, it will show up on the list and tell you:

  • the range of years the library has full-text access
  • what databases you can find it in
  • if it is available in print at the library

Click on the Journals button  under the Quick Search box on the library's homepage and search by title or ISBN number to find out if the library has a journal, and if so, where to find it online or in print.

This image depicts three buttons located on the library's website under the Quick Search bar. From left to right the buttons are: Databases, Research Guides, and Journals. Click on the Journals button to search for a particular journal.

Typically, a journal entry in the search will list publication information, library call number and location information if the journal is in print, a link to a database for online content along with the dates available, and more information. If we don't have the journal you need, try Google Scholar or more reliably, use the Interlibrary Loan service.

This image shows a typical journal entry in the Journals search. The journal entry will show the journal's title and if the journal is available online, a label stating Available Online. Links to databases that contain the journal along with date ranges for available online content will display near the bottom of the page. Some journals may be available in several databases.
