Quick Reports are a good way to get a fast and easy sense of the demographics or housing information about your census tract. It also makes it easy to compare that data to other census tracts, Texas, or the whole country.
1. To start, click the "New View +" button at the top of the right hand menu.
2. From here, click the Create button in the "Quick Report" section.
3. Choose the locations that you want SimplyAnalytics to generate a report on. I'm going to choose the first census block we worked with, Texas, and the USA so I can compare the data easily. Once you've selected your data, click "Done."
4. And now you'll see the Quick Report. This is a list of the data people look for most often, so SimplyAnalytics has made an automatic report on to make things easy on you. My report, with census tract 002703 in Nueces County, Texas, and the USA looks like this:
5. I don't like that USA comes before Texas, so I'm going to click on the darker blue background behind "Texas" and drag it between "USA" and "CT002703" so that the end result looks like this:
6. If you're interested in information on what housing looks like in these locations, you can go to the top of the report where it says "Report Content" and you can change the report from "Demographic Overview" to "Housing Detail" by clicking on the drop down menu.
And your report will look like this:
7. If you want to download this report, you can click the Export button above the New View button, and select what kind of file you want to download. I recommend using Excel, since it's easier to manipulate than your other options.
